McBessMcBess (alias of Matthieu Bessudo) got an awesome style down. 2 More artworks after the jump, but his portfolio is a much better place to check everything out. Peace! (more…)
Nike Air Max, in wireframeBenedict Radcliffe made this wireframe of Nike’s epic Air Max ‘91 shoe for the release of Dizzy Rascal’s interpretation of the aforementioned footwear. Looks a bit weird on a photo, as if it’s a computer generated wireframe pasted over a photo. However, I have proof (three photos) that this is in fact very real, after the jump :) (more…)
How Banksy’s Movie Came To BeFive minutes really worth watching if you’re even vaguely interested in street art. This trailer for Exit Through The Gift Shop has some epic moments and a rrrrreally clever paper dog that stands up on ventilation shafts. Thierry Guetta, you’ll see him in the movie, seems like an interesting character to me, he even has his own Wiki page, but not so much ofcourse as the conceiving artist, Banksy :P Oh, and the video, Prefuse tipped me off about it
Hidden MovesHidden Moves, the toybox of Welsh designer Rhys Owens, doesn’t have a lot to offer quantity-wise, but as far as quality is concerned it’s got plenty. Check out these awesome graphics, available on posters or t-shirts for no more than 25 pounds! I’m digging this style so much I might just order one, and for sure that I’m including three more images after the jump! :P (more…)
The DecapitatorNobody is safe from the Decapitator. You can not hide. All you can do is make sure your photo isn’t taken, and you’ll be relatively safe. A video of the-making-of after the jump, including some more pics from the guy’s Flickr stream :) (more…)
Rubber JohnnyMy exotic friends from Denmark, Maja and Lisa, introduced me to this video. I may have seen it before, but it freaked the crap out of me once more. Actually, I’m not even sure I managed to finish it the first time ;) As the quoted description of the 2005 youtube video nicely summarizes:
This video, titled “Rubber Johnny“, was made by Chris Cunningham to promote Aphex Twins’s album “drukqs”. The freaky sack of bones in the wheelchair is actually director Chris himself. I wonder if its also the conceiving artist’s dick in the shot where we see a rubber johnny get pulled off in reverse. The song playing is “afx237 v7 (w19rhbasement remix)”, and yes, this is a music video.

Robbo & Robbo vs. Banksy vs. Robbo
It all started with the approximately 24 year old piece on Regent Canal in Camden, London. Banksy graffiti’d over Robbo’s antique and Robbo was offended. Consequently, Robbo painted right on top of Banksy’s 3 day old piece, repaying B. in kin. But having the final say wasn’t good enough for “King Robbo” after having his/her/it’s 24 year old piece finally painted over. Hence the above image. I’ve included pictures of the old Robbo piece, Banksy’s rejuvenation of it and Robbo’s reply after the jump, and a photo of what the above pic originally was. (more…)
Little Sol
She goes under the alias Solveig, this little girl from Brighton, UK, and already started a career in street art and other graphic design. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this 11 year old is one of the most seasoned among her weight class, as proven by her incriminating Flickr stream. Her style is called “anti” or “ill” by some, but I’d rather call it what it is; disturbingly cheerful. Aside from the fact that she draws mario characters that are twice her age, mad props for being featured in Graphotism #45 and getting a dude to let you tattoo his arm :)
