On The MotorwayUnofficial videoclip for Metronomy’s “On The Motorway”, produced by Jul & Mat. The homie Stein bookmarked it, that’s how it got my attention.
Laura & Hayley, Real Smokin’Marie Claire France’s issue for this month features photos of two “plus size models”, Laura Catteral and Hayley Morley. Laura’s photos in particular (above) turned out very fucking nice IMHO. In case you are intimidated by the word “plus size”, it doesn’t mean they’re fat, but rather just not morbidly skinny. These photos are truly stunning and I can not help but marvel at the good grace our Father bestowed upon us with such voluptuous better halfs called Women. Two more pics ( after the jump, stolen off of Fashion Gone Rogue, one of which has the other girl, Hayley on it :) (more…)
TurmKunst CheckupA while ago I tipped you guys off about an international art project by artists Flying Förtress, Honet, Sozyone and Craig “Krink” Costello. The idea was to give one of the towers in Berlin a sweet new colour. By now the project is in full effect, and Just (from the previous post) was there to photograph it once more. Check out his photos (or just the Turmkunst ones) and awe! Turmkunst :) Above is KR’s work, two more photos after the jump! (more…)
The Coming and Going of AtlasL’Atlas struck once again, this time at the Oberbaumbruecke in Berlin, leaving his signature where, if it wasn’t for that bridge, might have been recognizable from outer space. It might have something to do with a group exhibition at Skalitzers Gallery (“Kiss the City”) where the Atlas shines together with Babou, Sun7 and Tanc. Just from ekosystem.org took some amaaazing pictures that are worth checking out, not to mention I just love Atlas’s style and ethics. I’ve included my 5 favourites after the jump, but you should know that there are lots more and lots better ones on the aforementioned blog. Via the Wooster Collective :) (more…)
McBessMcBess (alias of Matthieu Bessudo) got an awesome style down. 2 More artworks after the jump, but his portfolio is a much better place to check everything out. Peace! (more…)
H5 LogoramaLogorama is an epic animated short that uses more than 2500 existing logo’s to construct a landscape complete with car chases, wild animals, explosions and one pretty psyched out Ronald McDonald as a bad guy. This animation itself, sixteen minutes in all it’s glory, was worth an Oscar! Created by the french creative trio H5, who also happened to have made the clip to (one of my favourite) Royksopp track “Remind Me”. Anyway, it’s all on their site, check it out!
Turm Kunst“Turmkunst” they call it, the german words for “tower” and “art”. Honet (France), Flying Förtress (Germany), Craig “KR” Costello (US&A) and Sozyone (Spain) will be painting the outsides of this former restaurant. I’m not sure if I think the building is butt-ugly or retrofuturistic cool (some pictures of it from a worms eye view are quite cool), but I am quite certain that it could use a little touch-up. After the damage has been done, 14 international artists will exhibit their work there. Work starts on April 4th, exhibition May 15th. If I have money I might just make the trip. God living in Europe is awesome! The video at the top of this post just about says it all, but if you could always check out their site or Vimeo profile for more info and video. I’ve included a clear pic of the Bierpinsel after the (more…)
Aggravure“Staple art” by Baptiste Debombourg from France, found on Fubiz. Incredible detail using over 35.000 staples :) (more…)
Crystals And LasersThis is Matt W. Moore painting one of the most funkalicious murals, who knew triangles could ever be so exciting :D This particular piece is across the street from Since Gallery in Paris, France. Matt casually mentions it on his blog, from what I understand this was on the wall of an school on a public street. It’s part of a bigger whole, namely Matt’s very own solo exhibition at Since.
The adress, on a sidenote, is 211 rue Saint-Maur, going from Feb 5th till March 3rd 2010. Funky poster after the (more…)
Michel de Broin, Disco Paris!
A giant discoball in the parisian sky, consisting of a thousand mirrors. That, a 50 meter high crane and some good spotlights make Michel de Broin’s public installation a success in my opinion. Wish they’d cheer up the place around here sometime, too.
