David Maisel Sees All

.. from the window of his plan/helicopter/rocket or a really really tall and portable building. Anyway. These aerial photographs by David Maisel are supercool. They’re so beautiful one would almost not recognise them as aerials if you didn’t know better. But not only do they look pretty, they are also themed around human intervention with nature and the funny habit we have of destroying things we love. Like nature and fresh air. Check out the post on 2fotos.blogspot.com where I originally found these photos, or the guy’s website, for dozens upon dozens more, or hit the jump for three of my other favourites :) (more…)

Jack Parow

I guess I’ll just jump onto the south african bandwagon supporting Jack Parow like everybody else. Got to know his music after I “met” with Die Antwoord. Sunny music! Never knew there were so many white people in SA :)

The Decapitator

Nobody is safe from the Decapitator. You can not hide. All you can do is make sure your photo isn’t taken, and you’ll be relatively safe. A video of the-making-of after the jump, including some more pics from the guy’s Flickr stream :) (more…)

Crystals And Lasers

This is Matt W. Moore painting one of the most funkalicious murals, who knew triangles could ever be so exciting :D This particular piece is across the street from Since Gallery in Paris, France. Matt casually mentions it on his blog, from what I understand this was on the wall of an school on a public street. It’s part of a bigger whole, namely Matt’s very own solo exhibition at Since.

“has traveled to Paris for one month to prepare, from scratch, for his first Paris Solo-Exhibition. He arrived with no art, no supplies, and no firm plan for this new series of canvas paintings. The ideas for the artworks have actualized while processing time spent absorbing French Cult”

The adress, on a sidenote, is 211 rue Saint-Maur, going from Feb 5th till March 3rd 2010. Funky poster after the (more…)

Megan Fox, Emporio Armani

Megan Fox is the hottest woman on earth, according to many. I tend to agree, though I’m always thinking of Scarlett Johansson as well. However, this photoshoot of Megan Fox for Emporio Armani might just turn me. Five other photos after the jump!!!!!!1111 (more…)

Kazuki Takamatsu

Kazuki Takamatsu makes a strange mix out of anime, girls, guns, city scapes and 3D rendering. Very strange indeed, but pleasing to the eye. I’d love to tell you more about this person but I can’t understand a word he’s saying on his website. Two more images after the jump! (more…)

Vanishing Point

Trippy vid from what I presume is a japanese director called Takuya Hosogane, from the what I presume to be the Bonsajo collective. I have a feeling this was generated through Above Flash 4. Trippy music was the responsibility of Cubesato and Meine Meinung (“My Opinion”), just how I like it. Check out the Vimeo page to find out more about this and some more links.
