As The Coolist tipped me off once again, a guy caled Warwich Saint put online a really nice series of photos with chicks and tattoos. Most of the time, those two concepts are combined, and the outcome ofcourse is a tattoo’d chick through the eyes of Warwick. Have a look at the rest of his portfolio too, as it’s beautiful. Nothing makes a writer’s fingers itch more than a white wall, or even better, a whole building of white walls, or even better, a whole beach resort/abandoned submarine base/village of unwritten walls and basically the freedom to do what you want. TheCoolist compiled a short list of their 10 favourite “Abandoned Places”. There’s some really cool places that I wish I could visit sometime, but till then I’ll have to make do with drooling over photos of urban decay :)

The structures on the picture above are forts built by the British in World War II, to defend themselves from air attacks. The micro-nation of Sealand, the one that the Pirate Bay said it wanted to buy some time ago, is originally one of these platforms.

Gorillaz’s “Official Youtube Premiere” of the videoclip for Stylo, from their new album (drops March 8th, it’s already on the internet) “Plastic Beach”. I love it! The clip has such a Tarantinoesque feel to it I was immediately reminded of Death Proof. I’ve taken the liberty of including a cool Death Proof poster after the jump. Although Death Proof doesnt have Bruce Willis in it, an actor Tarantino loves to work with, this videoclip does! Track features Mos Def and Bobby Womack.

They’re so beautiful one would almost not recognise them as aerials if you didn’t know better. But not only do they look pretty, they are also themed around human intervention with nature and the funny habit we have of destroying things we love. Like nature and fresh air. This is Matt W. Moore painting one of the most funkalicious murals, who knew triangles could ever be so exciting :D This particular piece is across the street from Since Gallery in Paris, France. Matt casually mentions it on his blog, from what I understand this was on the wall of an school on a public street. It’s part of a bigger whole, namely Matt’s very own solo exhibition at Since.
