Virus

Robert Proch really does it with this video titled “Virus”. Robert is an animator, painter, graffiti artist and an art student in Poznań, Poland. The video he came up with is simply awesome and exciting. Great tune too, by the Herbaliser. Found on Revok’s blog :)

H5 Logorama

Logorama is an epic animated short that uses more than 2500 existing logo’s to construct a landscape complete with car chases, wild animals, explosions and one pretty psyched out Ronald McDonald as a bad guy. This animation itself, sixteen minutes in all it’s glory, was worth an Oscar! Created by the french creative trio H5, who also happened to have made the clip to (one of my favourite) Royksopp track “Remind Me”. Anyway, it’s all on their site, check it out!

MAR10: Bit And Run

One of the first Super Mario videos I actually think is funny (I love the game), so here’s me sharing it with you :) The conveiving artist is Cory Godbey, 26 year old illustrator guy from South Carolina, USA. He’s got a whole blog filled with not only this vid, but also comics and wallpapers, all in tribute to MAR10, or rather, Super Mar10. Check it out! Via DRAWN

Humble Homunculus

As taken from the Vimeo page:

Humble is proud to present, Homunculus, the first of an annual series of experimental films by our in-house directing collaborative, Hydra. Conceived of and directed by Sam Stephens, Homunculus is a dark and twisted fable of spontaneous generation and untrammeled id. Taking its title from the Latin word for “Little Human”, the piece is an associative mashup between the two concepts behind the word: The first being middle-age alchemical beliefs that “little men” could be spontaneous generated from dead or decaying matter. The second being Carl Jung’s usage as a personification of pure id. These ideas, combined with our love of Dutch still life’s “beautiful decay,” sowed the seeds for this unique little monster of a film.”

A video of the day after (or rather, the day after 11 days of timelapsed decomposition) cleaning-up is included after the jump! (more…)

Stein Louisse

Allright, time to introduce you to the stuff a once-classmate makes. These are the works of crazy funky animator/illustrator/innovator Stein Louisse. He hit me up with his new website blogthing that has stuff on it that you couldn’t find on his DeviantArt profile. His skillz and style ranges from graffiti to completely eclectic bubble characters to striking portraits of feminine beauty. I, for one, have always been a fan. Check it out! Check it all out!!!
